Matthew, are you aware (or any other Greek expert here),
whether
there are ANY exceptions of gender match in the NT or the
LXX
like is asserted by Calvinists here in Eph?
Also, you said,
But please notice: though we agree on the end result, we
still disagree on the
method. For your Robertson quote is oversimplifying, and
despite his evident
expertise, he left himself too open to Kuyper's criticism.
My explanation does
not have this weakness.
But did I miss or overlook your "explanation?"
Thanks, Gary

No, it is you who are wrong. Hebrews does NOT say that Enoch died. On the
contrary: Hebrews even says that Enoch "did not taste death" (Heb 11:5). Recall
the verse:
By faith Enoch was taken up SO THAT HE SHOULD NOT SEE DEATH; and
he was not found, because God had taken him.
Now before he was taken he was attested as having
pleased God. (Heb 11:5 RSVA)
So no, Enoch never died.
